Parent Meetings in 2017-2018
Wednesday, Nov. 29 6:30 pm @ St. Edward Church
Saturday, Dec. 1 10 am @ Queen of Peace Church
Saturday, November 18 10 am - Noon @ Sacred Heart Parish Hall
The 2nd grader and at least one parent are invited to an activity-based retreat to help them prepare to celebrate First Reconciliation. This is an optional experience, but is highly recommended. It will be especially beneficial for children enrolled in the Summer Religious Education program whose preparation program has been entirely home-based.
Children must be at least 7 years old and be baptized Catholics. Children should be enrolled in a Catholic school or religious education program.
At least one parent or guardian must be a practicing Catholic who is registered in one of the Waterloo parishes. Parents should be providing a nurturing environment for Catholic faith and values and should be actively participating in their child's faith formation.
• If your child is not baptized, contact Julie Niemeyer to make arrangements to prepare to celebrate baptism.
• If your child was not baptized in one of the Waterloo parishes, you will need to provide a copy of the child's Baptism Certificate. If you need help contacting the parish where your child was baptized, contact Julie Niemeyer.
Your opinions and suggestions are important to us. You will be asked to evaluate this year's preparation for First Reconciliation. The evaluation survey will be posted here in December.
