Catholic Heritage Tours hosted by the Catholic Parishes in Waterloo are designed to help local Catholics learn and appreciate more about various aspects of Catholic heritage in northeast Iowa. These day-long experiences generally take place in July.

Description
This year's Heritage Tour will visit Dubuque to learn more about three congregations of Catholic women religious who have served for over a century in northeast Iowa's Catholic parishes, schools, and healthcare facilities: the Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Franciscan Sisters of the Holy Family, and the Presentation Sisters of the Blessed Virgin Mary. At each location members of the congregation will discuss the origin, history, and charisms of the community, how members have served over the years, and current ministries in which the Sisters are involved.

Every effort will be made to accommodate special needs. Some locations may not be handicap-accessible. Some locations may include a moderate amount of walking.
Itinerary
7:30am -- Leave St. Edward Parish parking lot in Waterloo.
9:00am -- Arrive Clarke College to learn more about the Sisters of Charity
10:45am -- Arrive Mt. St. Francis Motherhouse to learn more about the Dubuque Franciscans
12:15pm -- Arrive for Lunch at Shalom Retreat Center
1:45pm -- Arrive Mt. Loretto Motherhouse to learn more about the Sisters of the Presentation
4:30pm -- Arrive in Waterloo
