Fr. Jim Secora is pastor of St. Patrick Parish in Cedar Falls. He is a native of Fort Atkinson, Iowa and has a B.A. degree from Loras College, a Master of Divinity degree from St. mary Seminary and University in Baltimore, and a Master of Education degree from Boston College. He was ordained to the priesthood in 1975 and has served as pastor or associate pastor at parishes in Decorah and Gilbertville. Fr. Jim was on the faculty of Wahlert High School in Dubuque and pastoral coordinator of Don Bosco High School in Gilbertville. He has served in a number of leadership position in the Archdiocese, including Master of Liturgical Ceremonies for Archbishop Kucera. He is currently dean of the Waterloo deanery. Fr.
