Busy Catholic’s Guide to Lent

Monday, February 20, 2012. 7:00-8:00pm
O'Hagan Hall, Sacred Heart Parish
[No pre-registration]

Don't know much about Lent?
Can't remember a lot about what you learned as a youth?
Looking for a quick refresher?

Our Busy Catholic's Guide to Lent is designed for anyone who wants to learn or review how and why Catholics celebrate the season of Lent.

This opportunity is designed for adults and young adults who may have forgotten what they once knew about Lent ... for those who have recently joined and rejoined the Church ... and anyone else who wants to participate more intentionally on this important liturgical season.

In this one-hour discussion we will review:
the origin and purpose of the Lent,
various components of Lenten observance today,
traditional Lenten devotions like the Stations of the Cross, and
opportunities for Lenten study and prayer in the local community.

The session will be conducted in a safe, non-threatening atmosphere.  There will be an opportunity for questions and discussion.

No pre-registration is required.
