 A Tour Through the Bible

in the Rectory Classroom at Sacred Heart Parish.

Here is a unique opportunity for adults and young adults who want to understand the "big picture" and see the Bible in perspective, from Genesis to Revelation.

This eight-week series will provide an overview of Salvation History found in Sacred Scripture.  Participants will have an opportunity to examine how God's revelation unfolded in history, was recorded in the Hebrew and Christian testaments, and is interpreted by Catholic Tradition.

Weekly sessions will examine:

From the Old Testament
• the Torah
• the Historical Books
• the Wisdom Books
• the Prophets
From the New Testament
• the Synoptic Gospels
• the Gospel of John
• Acts and the Epistles
• the Book of Revelation

About the Presenter
Eric Stromberg is director of faith formation at St. Mary Parish in Waverly.  He has a Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Notre Dame, where he specialized in the sociology of religion and social movements.  Before entering parish ministry he was assistant professor of sociology at Goshen College in Indiana.  Eric and his wife JoAnn live with their two children, Lucy and Anna, in Waverly.
