Religious Communities Offer ‘Sacred Spaces’
Along the Upper Mississippi
The Catholic Sisters of the Upper Mississippi River Valley have
created a variety of "sacred spaces" in the region, offering
time for study, meditation, prayer and reflection, spiritual
work or personal development this summer. While visiting in
these "sacred spaces" you can join the sisters as good stewards
of the Earth. Each sacred space is set in the natural beauty of
our planet, sharing the land with white-tailed deer, bald
eagles, muskrats and other creatures native to this area of the
country. Streams bubble nearby and prairie grasses rustle; in
these sacred spaces, the Divine can be felt in every sigh of the
breeze.
