Presented in

St. John's School of Theology & Seminary
Hope is an invisible
reality, but it has profound tangible effects in our daily
lives. Using texts from St. Paul and the Old Testament
prophets, Fr. Launderville will explore God's larger plan which we often overlook as we
wrestle with our pressing day-to-day issues. An appreciation for
this larger vision can help us embrace the promise God made to
our ancestors and put our immediate successes and failures into
a wider perspective. The goal of this presentation is to
help us identify practical ways in which hope can become a
greater force in our lives. This presentation is an
extension of St. John's Theology Day series.
Fr. Dale
Launderville is a Benedictine priest, a member of
St. John Abbey in Collegeville, Minnesota, and a professor of

professed vows in 1975 and was ordained in 1979. He received
his BA from St. John's University and his Master of Divinity, a
Masters Degree in Theology and a doctorate from the Catholic University of
America. Fr. Launderville has served as chair of the theology department, chaplain and dean of
St. John's School of Theology and Seminary and rector
of St. John's Seminary. His most recent book is
